ARTICLE 10 - MILEAGE RIDES

1. Horses must be 4 chronological years to enter

2. Mileage rides may be run in conjunction with sanctioned endurance, competitive or Ride ‘n’ Tie rides. (See Sanctioning)

3. A minimum and maximum ride time will be specified for each ride.

4. A Junior rider must have an adult sponsor, 19 years or over, approved by the junior rider’s parent or guardian.

MILEAGE AWARDS

1. The rider or owner must be an active OCTRA member (i.e., not an Associate member)

2. A registration fee must be paid to enroll each horse. This fee is non-refundable

3. 0nce a horse is enrolled the mileage from that point on will be automatically tallied and the owner will be informed when each level is reached. Mileage accumulated prior to enrolment must be listed and submitted with proof of completion with the enrolment form.

4. Mileage may only be used from OCTRA SANCTIONED events - taking place from 1978 and on. As of 1986, mileage from one OCTRA recognised out-of Province ride may be used each year. Proof of completion must be submitted to the appropriate record keeper by the rider
