Ontario Competitive Trail Riding Association FOR COMPETITIVE TRAIL, ENDURANCE, RIDE’N’TIE AND OTHER EVENTS SANCTIONED BY THE ORGANIZATION
2.2.1 All OCTRA sanctioned events are open to any riders whether or not they are members of the Association.2.2.2 All OCTRA sanctioned events are open to any "Equine", and the word "Horse" used throughout these rules refers to any equine. 2.2.3 a) Stallions must be ridden by a rider 18 years of age or older. 2.2.4 The Board of Directors may expel any horse or rider at their discretion. 2.2.5 Insurance. Prior to participation, must present proof of current "off-farm" equine third party liability insurance, minimum $1,000.000. Ontario Equestrian Federation (OEF) membership shall be taken as proof of insurance or a letter of coverage from the entrant’s insurance agent or equivalent. Such proof must be presented to the ride management at the time of entry. 2.2.6a Proof of a negative Coggins test within the previous 12 months is required for all equines attending any OCTRA sanctioned event, except where noted. Such proof must be presented to the ride management before the start of the event. 2.2.6b Exception. Proof of a negative Coggins test within the previous 12 months, may be revoked for a clinic/training ride if due notice of intent is given to other riders who might have concerns for their horses. |
