General: Provincial Championships coming in July!!!!!

Hosted by the Ontario Competitive Trail Ride Association & Coates Creek Farm

Come and join us for a Festival of Endurance, Competitive & Ride 'n' Tie competitions at Coates Creek Farm located in Simcoe County.

Your trails will be varied and consisting of fields, sandy pine forestry, some hilly sections and roads.

We promise something for everyone with a 100 mile FEI CEI***, 75 mile FEI CEI**, and a 50 mile FEI CEI* for those interested in qualifying for the 2010 WEG in Kentucky. As well there will be open divisions in the 100, 75 and 50 mile endurance events in addition to the Championship Challenges for Ride 'n' Tie and Competitive Trail. Our event will also be of interest for those wishing to qualify for the Canadian Championships in 2010.

All rides will be sanctioned by FEI, AERC and/or OCTRA.

General: Canadian endurance team finishes seventh at World Endurance Championships in Malaysia

The Canadian Endurance Team comprised of Wendy Benns of Pontypool, ON, Ruth Sturley of Owen Sound, ON, Yvette Vinton DVM of Simcoe, ON, and Bob Gielen of Norton, NB, finished in seventh place out of 21 starting teams on November 7, 2008, at the World Endurance Championships. Wendy MacCoubrey of Ste. Justine, QC, and Julius Bloomfield of Naramata, BC, were the other two members of the Canadian squad.
