The ONTCHAMPS09 inaugural competition began in 2007 after being voted in by the OCTRA membership. The event took place at Y Not Farms in Meaford, Ontario attracting more than 100 horse and rider teams from across Canada and the USA.

 All three of our sanctioned disciplines, CTR, ENDRIDE, and RIDENTIE are offered at the Championships allowing everyone a opportunity to experience and learn what to expect at the higher levels of competition - where better than in your own back yard to begin the process to compete at the National & International levels.

The Ontario Provincial Championships are now held every second year with the 2009 Championships  being held in New Lowell, Ontario, at the Danko Farm.  Scheduled events include 10 and 20 mile Ride n Tie, 30 mile and 50 mile Competitive Trail,  and 50 and 100 mile Endurance.
